By accessing and using HackForge ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

HackForge is an educational cybersecurity training platform that provides Capture The Flag (CTF) challenges for learning purposes. The Platform is designed to help users develop and improve their cybersecurity skills in a legal and controlled environment.

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use this Platform.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

  • Attack or attempt to compromise systems outside of designated challenge environments.
  • Share flags, solutions, or exploit code from challenges with non-users.
  • Use knowledge gained here to conduct unauthorized access to any system.
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform's infrastructure.
  • Use automated tools to overwhelm or disrupt services.
  • Impersonate other users or platform staff.

5. Intellectual Property

All challenges, content, and materials on the Platform are protected by intellectual property rights. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit permission, except for personal educational use and writeups published according to our guidelines.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (comments, writeups). By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display and distribute that content on the Platform. We may remove any content that violates these terms.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and process data as described therein. We take reasonable measures to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be available at all times or that it will be error-free. Challenge environments may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HackForge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.
